FILMING IN THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI-ARABIA

Except for the filming of some documentary shots in Baghdad and Najaf/Kufa, the ZUBAYDA TRAIL will be filmed entirely in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Bajdah film studios at NEOM feature all the facilities needed including set construction. The surrounding landscapes cover the demand in exterior locations. The nearby city of Tabuk accomodates extras with international origin in sufficient numbers.

MERCHANDISE

Aside from copies of the book and the film, we will offer souvenirs and merchandise strongly connected to the ZUBAYDA TRAIL. This can be a silver replica of a dirham minted for Zubayda / Umm Ja'far in Taif in 806 CE/AH 190 by her local vizier Yasir, a miniature of a palanquin for female camel riders, or a milestone from the Zubayda Trail (62 barids/1.240 Kilometers from Kufa). The sale of merchandise will contribute to the revenue generated for a return of investment.
